each vintage of winemaker charles dufour's champagnes feature a different illustration, adding to the charm & anti-establishment sentiment that he presents in his winemaking & growing styles - this particular label is an hommage to a long-time team member at the winery who is retiring after working with charles & his family for years - the artist captured this moment during harvest & the man was surprised to find out that he was featured on the label for this vintage - the term ‘terrine et jardine’ is a french phrase that describes life for people after retirement: lots of relaxing in the garden & eating terrine!
